STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team is sending three Pointers to the NCAA Division III outdoor championships and
Dan Sullivan (Elkhorn, WI/Elkhorn) will represent the UWSP men's team in the championships.
The championships are May 23-25 at UW-La Crosse.
Sullivan recorded the nation's top qualifying time in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:46.66. In late April, Sullivan broke a 26-year old UWSP record by finishing the 1,500-meter run in 3:46.63 at the Drake Relays. He has won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title 1,500-meter run in each of the last two years.
Ana Breit (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Pacelli),
Erin Kline (Casco, WI/Luxemburg-Casco) and
Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) represent the UWSP women's team.
Breit, a sophomore, will compete in the 1,500-meter run after posting the 18
th best qualifying time at 4:34.71. She finished third in the WIAC Championships in the 1,500-meter run.
Kline, a senior, will run in the 100-meter hurdles after finishing with the 16
th best qualifying time of 14.45. Kline earned her qualifying time at the WIAC Championships.
Flynn, a freshman, qualified in the discus after throwing 43.82 meters, good for the 14
th best qualifying distance. Flynn earned the WIAC title in the discus with a toss of 41.66 meters.
