STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Shortly after winning the NCAA Division III Midwest Championship and qualifying for the World Series, four Pointers were named to the D3baseball.com All-Midwest Regional team.  

All-Midwest Region

Ryan Schilter (West Bend, WI/West), Jacob Herbst (Park Falls, WI/Park Falls), and JP Feyereisen (River Falls, WI/River Falls) were named to the All-Midwest First Team while Sean Gerber (Stoughton, WI/Stoughton) was named to the All-Midwest Third Team.

Schilter, a senior catcher, stole 21 bases to lead the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season, and he also led the WIAC with 66 runs. Schilter's 79 hits are the second most in the conference, and his nine home runs are good for fourth. Schilter is the team's second leading hitter at .376.

Herbst, a senior pitcher, has made 16 appearances (eight starts) for the Pointers while racking up a conference-high nine wins. Herbst leads the Pointers with 74.1 innings pitched and 70 strikeouts. He currently holds a 2.78 ERA.

Feyereisen, a sophomore pitcher, is the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year. Feyereisen has made 12 appearances (11 starts) and holds a 6-2 record with an ERA of 2.70. He has allowed only 59 hits through 70 innings and has tallied 56 strikeouts.

Gerber, a senior first baseman, led the WIAC in home runs (12), RBIs (60), and total bases (130). His 63 runs scored is second in the conference, and his 17 doubles also tied him for second.

The Pointers will take on Manchester University (Ind.), the winner of the Rose Hullman Regional, on Friday, May 24. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. from Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
