BROWN DEER, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point men's swimming and diving team holds a 46-point lead after day one of the 2013 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center.
The men recorded 221 team points, ahead of second place UW-Eau Claire after day one. On the women's side, the Pointers tallied 196 points on day one and sit just nine points behind UW-La Crosse in the race for the league title.

Women's 200 freestyle relay of
Ashley Majewski (Elm Grove, WI/Catholic Memorial),
Amy Boritzke (Brookfield, WI/),
Colleen Baker (Rosemont, MN/) and
Andrea Wagner (Apple Valley, MN/) took home the league title with a time of 1:35.17.
The men's 200 free relay of
Eric Emerson (River Falls, WI/),
Ryan Farmer (Naperville, IL/),
Joe Gendron (West Lafayette, IN/) and
Joey Clapp (Faribault, MN/) also took home the league title, setting a new WIAC Championship mark with a time of 1:21.77.
Hailey Kunavich (Pewaukee, WI/) finished as a runner-up in the women's 200 IM, posting a time of 2:10.87.
Ashley Majewski (Elm Grove, WI/Catholic Memorial) posted a NCAA “B” cut time on her way to a runner-up finish in the 50 free with a time of 23.87.
Joey Clapp (Faribault, MN/) finished swam his way to his second title of the day, his first as an individual, with a 20.50 time in the 50 free.
The 400 IM relay team of Clapp,
Alex Loftus (Janesville, WI/),
Ryan Farmer (Naperville, IL/) and
Eric Emerson (River Falls, WI/) finished with a time of 3:22.79, good for a runner-up finish.
