STEVENS POINT, Wis. – After tallying only three points in the first half,
Sam Barber (Schofield, WI/D.C. Everest/Winona St.) compiled 20 points in the second half to help the UW-Stevens Point women's basketball team to a 75-66 win over UW-River Falls Thursday night.

The Pointers trailed the Falcons for over 18 minutes of the first half and fell behind by as many as 10 points.
It wasn't until seven minutes into the second half that the Pointers regained the lead when Barber knocked down a jumper. UWSP never trailed again and built a lead as large as 10 points.
Three other Pointers recorded double figures on the evening including sophomore
Kaitlyn Jacobs (New Franken, WI/Green Bay Preble) who posted a career-high 10 points.
Brooke Allen (Barneveld, WI/Barneveld) chipped in with 15 points and five rebounds and
Liz Althoff (Darien, WI/Clinton) added 11 points.
Tess Lueders led UW-River Falls with 12 points.
UWSP returns to action Saturday, Jan. 5 as it travels to UW-Eau Claire to take on the Blugolds. Tipoff set for 5 p.m.
