SUPERIOR, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team shutout UW-Superior on Saturday afternoon as four different Pointers scored to give the Pointers a 6-0 victory.

Jessica Ruch (Fond du Lac, WI/Fond du Lac) opened up the scoring attack in the 6th minute as she connected on her third goal of the season.
Senior
Angela Gallow (Menasha, WI/Menasha) improved her season goal total to eight, finding the back of the net three times.
Kelsey Majerus (Cottage Grove, MN/Park) scored her first goal of the season in the 33rd minute and
Emily Dietrich (Franklin, WI/Muskego) capped off the scoring for the Pointers in the 78th minute.
Kim Jobke (Menomonee Falls, WI/Sussex Hamilton),
Carly Falk (Green Bay, WI/Bay Port),
Kim Gietman (Fond du Lac, WI/Fond du Lac) and Ruch all recorded assists on the afternoon.
Kristen Churkey (Mosinee, WI/D.C. Everest) and
Mary Burch (Center City, MN/Chisago Lakes) split the time in net, but did not have to record a save on the afternoon. The Pointers held the Yellowjackets without a shot on goal. Superior's goalkeeper Alexandra Paige recorded seven saves.
The UW-Stevens Point soccer team (6-3, 2-2 WIAC) returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 3, as it hosts St. Mary's in a nonconference contest. Action is set for 4:30 p.m.
