ANGOLA, Ind. – UW-Stevens Point sophomore Mary Welch (Madison, WI/West) recorded her second-straight 78 and enters the final day of the 2012 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship tied for 14th.
 
Day 3 Results
 
After a rocky start to the day, carding four straight bogeys and then a double bogey, Welch rebounded to fire three birdies on the final nine holes to finish +6.
 
Methodist University, the 14-time defending champion of the event, holds a two-stroke lead over DePauw University in the race for the team title. UW-Eau Claire is in fourth, 10 strokes back of the leader.
 
Final round action gets underway on Friday, May 11 at Zollner Golf Course.
