MADISON, Wis.--The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's soccer team has earned a Team Academic Award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the 2010-11 season.

A total of five Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams were named to the list including the women's programs at UW-Eau Claire (3.26), UW-Stevens Point (3.11), UW-Superior (3.07) and UW-Whitewater (3.14). UW-Oshkosh's men's squad claimed the honor after posting a 3.07 mark.

The award was presented to teams finishing with a 3.0 grade point average or better during the 2010-11 season. A total of 792 teams were named recipients, including 220 men's and 572 women's teams.
