STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team got a much-needed boost on Friday evening, as it defeated the Pioneers of Carroll University 40-6 in an exhibition match at Berg Gym.

The Pointers got things rolling with pins by Dylan Clucas (Stevens Point, WI/) and Matt Cuadra (Oshkosh, WI/West) to take a 12-0 lead and never looked back.

Joe Mileski (Gladstone, MI/Gladstone) recorded a pin at 133, as did Jordan Schulte (Mosinee, WI/Mosinee) at 165 and Ryan Conat (New London, WI/New London) at 174 as the Pointers rolled to the 40-6 victory.

The Pointers return to action Dec. 15 at UW-Platteville. Action begins at 7 p.m.
