--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point claimed its third Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Swimming and Diving Championship in the last five seasons at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center on Feb. 11-13.

The Pointers captured the fifth conference crown in program history with 878.50 team points to surpass the second-place sum of 792 points by two-time defending champion UW-La Crosse.  UW-Eau Claire finished third with 788.50 points, UW-Whitewater fourth with 367 points, UW-Oshkosh fifth with 236 points and UW-River Falls sixth with 171 points.

UW-La Crosse's Chelsea Hoff claimed the 200-yard backstroke for the second straight year with a time of 2:04.70.  She also earned the Swimmer of the Meet trophy for the third consecutive season.

The Eagles' Danielle Ellingson set a conference meet record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:22.62 and Katelyn Hartung was victorious in the 100-yard freestyle with a clocking of 52.38.

Hoff, Ellingson and Hartung teamed with Abby Diehl to win the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:28.18.

UW-La Crosse's Rachel LaValley captured the three-meter diving competition for the second straight year with 403.40 points and claimed Diver of the Meet honors for the second consecutive season.

UW-Eau Claire earned a pair of individual titles during the third day of events.  Nicole Dorvinen established a conference meet record in the 200-yard butterfly with a winning performance of 2:07.30, while Kirsten Lickel captured the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:37.88.

UW-La Crosse's Chelsea Hoff was named the Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete, while UW-Eau Claire head coach Art Brandt was voted the Coach of the Year.

An All-Sportsmanship Team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.  Named to the squad were:  UW-Eau Claire's Mari Bodensteiner, UW-La Crosse's Brianna Peyer, UW-Oshkosh's Janna Oelrich, UW-River Falls' Tamra Knight, UW-Stevens Point's Lindsay Lukes and UW-Whitewater's Lisa Dlugopolski.
