EAU CLAIRE - The Pointer women's track & field team earned 134 points on Saturday to finish second at the three team invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire. The host Blugolds finished first at the event while UW-Platteville finished third.

The Pointers were led by Elizabeth Caine (Plover/SPASH), who finished first in the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.52. Caine also finished with the top time in the 200 meter dash, posting a time of 27.08 in the event.

Other first place finishers for the Pointers included Erin Kline (Casco, WI/Luxemburg-Casco), who finished first in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.75. Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) was the top finisher in the women's one mile run with a time of 4:57.26, Nikki Bruhn (Marshfield, WI/Marshfield) in the 5000 meter run with a time of 20.04.15 and Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) who finished with a top time of 10:35.41 in the 3,000 meter run.

The Pointers 4x400 relay team also finished first, posting a time of 4:05.78.

UW-Stevens Point returns to action on Jan. 30 when they host the Pointer Quad at the Multi-Activity Center in Stevens Point.
