SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The UW-Stevens Point women's swimming and diving team has been recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America for their success in the classroom, as well as in the pool.

The Pointers received the Academic All American Team honors for the fall semester of 2008, maintaining a team GPA over 3.0.

The UWSP women's swimming and diving team finished the season second at the 2009 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships, capturing three individual championships and one relay championship.

At the NCAA Championships, the women finished 27th in the field of 58 teams, compiling 25 points.
