Day Three Results
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The women's swimming and diving team moved up ten spots in the standings on Friday and the men's team slipped to eighth, as action continued at the 2009 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.
The women's team is in 21st place heading into the final day of action while the men's team sits in eighth.
On the men's side,
Rob Donisch (Wheaton, Ill.) finished 12th in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 1:50.82. The event's top time was turned in by Matthew Harris of Kenyon, who finished in 1:46.74.
The relay team of
Steve Lynam (Fitchburg, WI), Donisch,
Vaughn Forsythe (Coral Springs, Fla.) and
Sam Davy (Stevens Point) finished in 15th in the 800 freestyle, posting a time of 6:50.45
For the women, the relay team of
Lindsay Lukes (Austin, Minn.),
Whitney Boehme (Thiensville),
Beth Ann Abraham (Eden Prairie) and
Abby Strobel (Neenah) finished the 800 freestyle with a time of 7:37.54, good for 10th place in the event finals.
The Pointers return to the pool on Saturday for the final action of the championships.
