STEVENS POINT - Thursday night's matchups have been set. The Pointers will begin play in the semifinal round of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) tournament.  Both the Pointer men's and women's teams earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament and along with it, a bye for Tuesday's quarterfinal round.

The Pointers men's team will kick off Thursday action with a 6 p.m. tip against the Titans of UW-Oshkosh on Bennett Court in Quandt Fieldhouse. The Pointers won both match-ups with the Titans this season, picking up a 74-65 victory in Oshkosh on Jan. 3 and an 80-70 victory at home on Jan. 24.

In the second game of the double-header, the Pointer women's team will play host to UW-Stout. It will be an opportunity for the Pointers to try and avenge their only home loss of the 2008-09 season, a 67-64 setback on Feb. 4. The Pointers defeated the Blue Devils 63-54 when the two teams met in Menomonie on Jan. 14. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. in Berg Gymnasium.
