BEREA, Ohio - Senior Nick Schaefer (New London) finished 213 out of 276 runners on Saturday morning at the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.

Schaefer, the lone qualifier from the UW-Stevens Point cross country team, finished with a time of 27:42.4.

North Central College (Ill.) took home the overall team championship, placing six runners in the top 25. Ricky Flynn of Lynchburg took home the overall individual title, finishing with a time of 25:09.8, almost 23 seconds ahead of the next closest finisher from North Central.
