MADISON - UW-Stevens Point senior
Brent Schwartz, a native of Waukesha and former Waukesha South standout, has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week for his efforts in leading the Pointers to a second place showing at the Border Battle last weekend.
Schwartz secured two individual wins at the Border Battle hosted by UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 13-14. He lead a trio of Pointers by winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 59.76, almost a full second ahead of the second- place finisher. Schwartz also captured the win in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:12.35
The Pointer swimming and diving teams return to action Dec. 4-5 when they travel to the Wheaton (Ill.) Invite. Action Friday begins at 9:30 a.m.
