MADISON - The tandem of senior Kaylei Sorensen (Plover/SPASH) and freshman Leah Benn (Stevens Point/SPASH) have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Tennis Doubles Athletes of the Week.

The duo won a pair of conference matches during the week to improve to 3-1 against conference foes. In the No. 3 doubles match against UW-River Falls on Oct. 2, Sorensen and Benn won a tough match 8-6. Against UW-Stout on Oct. 3, they rallied to another victory by a score of 8-2. Sorensen and Benn are now 9-1 on the season at No. 3 doubles.

The Pointers host defending conference champion UW-Whitewater in their final home match of the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 6 before traveling to UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 16 to close out the regular season.
