STEVENS POINT – UW-Stevens Point's women's golf team recorded a two day 661 to capture the team title for the second consecutive year at the Stevens Point Country Club on Sunday afternoon. The Pointers were paced by senior Jessica Urban (Hartland), whose two day 151 outpaced the field by ten strokes, as she took home her second straight UWSP Invite Individual Championship.

After leading the field by three strokes with a 76 on day one, Urban fired another tournament-best 75 on day two, securing her third individual title of the season.

UW-Whitewater finished second behind the Pointers with a team total 671 (+87), followed by UW-Stout (+139, 723) and UW-Platteville (+146, 730).

Elsewhere for the Pointers, freshman Mary Donohue (Portage) finished in second, firing a day one 83 and rebounding with a day two 78, finishing with a 161, +15. Danelle Olson (Detroit Lakes, MN) finished in fourth after securing a tiebreak over Whitewater's Emily Kuiper, shooting a two day 165.
Olivia Scheifelbein (Johnson Park, IA) finished tied for 14th in the field of 30 golfers, shooting a two day 38 over par 184.

The Pointers will next travel to the Northern Bay Golf Resort & Marina on Oct. 9-11 for the 2009 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Women's Golf Championship. The defending champion Pointers will start their title defense at Noon on Friday.
