WINNECONNE - Claire Roberts (Oakfield) led the way with a seventh place finish at the 2009 Brooks Cross Country Invite hosted by UW-Oshkosh at the Lake Breeze Golf Course to aid the Pointers in a 10th place finish in a field of 35 teams and 466 runners on Saturday morning.

The Pointers placed their top-five runners in the top 100 at Saturdays race to tally 292 team points, good for the 10th place finish.

Roberts finished with a time of 21:37 on the day while freshman April Sadogierski (Hatley) finished 60th with a time of 22:56. Allison Wolter (Kaukauna) finished 63rd with a time of 23:00 even, Sandy Hause (Bruce) finished 71st with her time of 23:09 and Shaun Krueger (Kiel) finished 91st with a time of 23:29 to round out the point scorers for the Pointers.

Members of the Pointers team will be in action next Friday, Oct. 23 when they compete at the Conference Qualifier in Oshkosh before the full squad will compete at the WIAC Championships on Oct. 31 at UW-Whitewater.
