RIPON- The UW-Stevens Point Men's Cross Country finished third out of eight teams at the Ripon College Cross Country Invite Saturday afternoon. Five runners placed within the top 20 for UW-Stevens Point.

The Pointers were led by freshmen Spencer Houk (Sun Prairie) who took home the individual title with a time of 26:28.

Their next four runners finished within five spots of each other as Adam Lang (Sheboygan) was 13th overall with a time of 27:28. Alex Steiner (Chilton) came in at 15th with 27:33, Logan Seipel (Colfax) was two seconds behind him at 16th and Evan Cooper (Delafield) came in at 17th with a time of 27:36.

The Pointers return to action on Saturday, October 17th when they travel to the UW-Oshkosh Invitational.
