SHEBOYGAN - The No. 9 ranked UW-Stevens Point wrestling team avenged their loss to Lakeland College from a season ago and came back from a 12-9 deficit to earn their first dual victory of the season with a 21-18 decision over the Muskies.

The Pointers used wins from No. 4 ranked Chase DeCleene (Ashwaubenon/Ashwaubenon) (Ashwaubenon) at 141, Kris Magruder (Racine/Case) (Racine) at 149, Jake Wozniak (Stanley/Stanley-Boyd) (Stanley) pinned Clint Harbord at 165 and Jeremy Fulk (Anchorage, AK/West Valley) (Anchorage, Alaska) at 197 and a forfeit win at 133 by Jared Kern (Mosinee) to defeat the Muskies by three points.

The Pointers (1-0) return to action on Saturday, Nov. 22 when they compete at the Comet Duals in Olivet, Mich. The Muskies drop to 1-4 on the season.
