MADISON - UW-Stevens Point junior Rachel Benn (Stevens Point/SPASH), a native of Stevens Point, has been named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Singles Athlete of the Week.

Competing at No. 1 singles, Benn recorded two wins during the week to improve to 8-2 on the season in dual meets. Against Ripon College, she beat Josie Ullsperger, 6-2, 6-1, and followed that performance with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 triumph over UW-Stout's Allie Hinman.

Benn and the Pointers will host UW-Oshkosh in their final home match Friday, Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m.
