DUBUQUE, Iowa - The UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team had another strong showing this weekend at the Loras Open, hosted by Loras College. No team scores were kept but several Pointers finished in the top-five of their respective events.

Top finishers on the day included Ashley Woest (Abrams), who finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:24.59. Sara Kline (Casco) finished second in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.01 and Erin Faller (Marinette) finished fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 71.80.

Elsewhere, Bethany Utecht (Fredonia) finished third in the javelin throw with a distance of 36.84m.

The Pointers return to action next weekend at the WIAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by UW-Oshkosh on May 1-2.
