DES MOINES, Iowa - The women's track and field team also competed this past weekend at the Drake Relays, a prestigious event that bring some of the top track & field programs from across the nation together to compete.

The UW-Stevens Point women's 4x100-meter relay team of Elizabeth Caine (Plover), Kathleen Folbrecht (Jefferson), Ann Burhop (Hartford) and Laura Simonis (Rosholt) finished in seventh with a time of 48.93. The 4x400-meter relay team of Caine, Folbrecht, Kristin Kuber (Tomahawk) and Simonis finished in 12th with a time of 3:57.35

Elsewhere, the 1600 sprint medley relay team of Caine, Simonis, Folbrecht and Claire Roberts (Oakfield) finished in third, posting a time of 4:02.12. The women's distance medley relay team of Kelly Haen (Kaukauna), Kuber, Roberts and Allison Wolter (Kaukauna) also posted a seventh-place finish with a time of 12:16.67.

The Pointers return to action next weekend at the WIAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by UW-Oshkosh on May 1-2.
