STEVENS POINT - Sarah Kline (Casco) finished first in the 55m hurdles with a time of 8.56 seconds, setting a school record in the process as the Pointer women's track and field team finished fourth on Saturday afternoon at the Pointer Invite in the Multi-Activity Center.
Liz Caine (Plover) was another top performer on the day for the Pointers, finishing first in the 55m dash with a time of 7.33 and first in the 200m dash with a time of 26.57.
Elsewhere
Kathleen Folbrecht (Jefferson/Jefferson) (Jefferson) and
Laura Simonis (Rosholt/Rosholt) (Rosholt) finished third and fifth in the 400m dash,
Sarah Glunn (Arborvitae/Lakeland Union) (Arborvitae) and
Kristin Kuber (Tomahawk/Tomahawk) (Tomahawk) finished 7-8 in the 800m run,
Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) (Oakfield) finished third in the one mile run and the 4x400 relay team posted a third place finish with a time of 4:02.81.
The Pointers return to action next weekend in Platteville at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
