Pointers Race To Second Place Finish at Carthage

KENOSHA – The Pointer women's track and field team posted four first-place finishes on Saturday afternoon on their way to collecting 118 points and a second place finish at the Tadd Metzger Invite, hosted by Carthage College on Saturday.

Top finishers on the day for UWSP included Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna), Allison Wolter (Kaukauna/Kaukauna), Kim Multerer (West Bend/West Bend West), and Sarah Glunn (Arborvitae/Lakeland Union) who finished 1-4 in the women's one mile run. Liz Caine (Plover/SPASH) collected eight team points with her second-place finish in the 55m dash while Sara Kline (Casco/Luxemberg-Casco) finished first in 55m hurdles in the preliminaries, second in the finals.

Kathleen Folbrecht (Jefferson/Jefferson) and Kristin Kuber (Tomahawk/Tomahawk) finish 1-2 in the 600m run finishing at 1:39.9 and 1:41.47 respectively. Claire Roberts (Oakfield/Horace Mann) finished first in the 3000m run with a time of 10:56.52 and the women's 4x400m relay team finished first with a time of 4:07.21.

The Pointers return to action next week Friday and Saturday when they host the Pointers Invitational at the Multi-Activity Center in Stevens Point.
