Miech is the winningest coach in UWSP football history racking up 156 wins over his 24 years at the helm. He ranks fourth among all-time WIAC coaches in victories. UWSP won the WIAC title in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2008 with Miech as coach. He earned WIAC Coach of the Year honors in 1998, 2001 and 2008. He had a career winning record against five of the seven WIAC foes, including a 21-3-1 record against UW-Platteville in his 24 seasons. Miech coached 66 All-America selections and seven WIAC Player of the Year recipients. He had 121 players pick up All-WIAC first team honors under his tutelage.
