    Administrator
Dr. John "Jack" Larsen served as the Director of Admissions at UW-Stevens Point from 1964-96 and made many important contributions to Pointers Athletics in that role. One of his duties was to handle special admissions, where he worked with coaches and administrators to make accommodations for students with outstanding talents to come to the university and succeed academically. Larsen also met with countless prospective students at the request of coaches and his enthusiasm for UWSP and Pointers Athletics was evident in his recruiting. His contributions to Pointers Athletics also included serving as the official scorekeeper for men's basketball for 25 years, being a track & field official for 20 years, officiating preseason football scrimmages and freshmen games, swimming meets and umpiring baseball games. Larsen continues to support UWSP Athletics today as a member of the Backcourt Club, which he joined in 1964. He was also a stalwart member of the Quarterback Club for nearly 30 years and was co-chair of the football banquet in the 1970s.
